# 2.2.8 Update

 * I updated virtue to 2.2.8, and all of the theme’s templates disappeared, hence
   wordpress will not run the theme and the site is down. I would prefer not to 
   uninstall and reinstall virtue since I would lose all of my customizations. Is
   anyone else having this issue with the most recent update?
    The site is adaircountyvetclinic.
   com.

 * Virtue 2.2.8 seems to be missing the template files and therefore will not activiate.
   I first tried to ‘update’ to 2.2.8 from the previous version and it wouldn’t 
   activate (and of course, deletes everything apart from assets from the old version)!(
   GREAT, NOT)…. so I donwloaded 2.2.8 from the website and manually updated and
   it won’t allow me to activiate the theme due to missing template files.

 * Hey,
    So there is an issue with the zip file on the updates server. I’ve just
   reported to a wordpress.org admin. Hopefully that will be resolved very soon 
   as I have no control over the file and the theme is all there if you download
   manually.
 * So for those that have updated and are getting the “missing templates”.
 * You will have to login to your server, go to the file manager and navigate to
   your site, go to wp-content/themes/
 * and remove the virtue folder.
 * Then you can install in the wordpress admin panel using the download from here:

   you do not lose theme settings by removing the theme from your admin and reinstalling.
   The settings are saved in the database so they are safe.

 * I just updated to 2.2.8 from 2.2.7 and had no issues.
 * I exported settings then deactivated virtue (as instructed on the docs page) 
   then did the update in from wordpress updater, reactivated virtue and website
   is great.
 * I post this to show that it at least this method worked flawlessly.

 * Thanks guys, Just got word from the admins here on .org that the issue was with
   one server and it has been fixed.

 * Removed the virtue folder and reinstalled and it is working fine now. Thanks
