Does disconnecting and reconnecting help (this can clear an empty cache if that’s what happened the first time the plugin tried to fetch events). Another thing to check is if it works with a default theme; are you using custom templates or the ones included with the plugin?
Tried disconnecting and reconnecting and no change.
Using template with plugin, but will convert to custom once working.
WPdebug doesn’t show any errors.

We’re getting a “not found” error using twentyfifteen

Local shouldn’t matter, it works the same locally too.
So “not found” for Twenty Fifteen sounds like you might be getting the cache. Try this:
1) Switch to Twenty Fifteen
2) Disconnect and reconnect under Tools > Keyring
Does that work? The reason I want us to get it going on Twenty Fifteen is because the markup looks quite unique in that theme, so it’s tough to see where things are failing.
