• Hi,

I’m new to WordPress. I was attempting to get rid of a sidebar widget by following a youtube video tutorial, and it involved deleting some HTML from the appearance editor (as a newbie, I don’t think I should have been doing this). After I did so, I closed the tabs and suddenly I can’t get back into my WordPress. I just receive this message for every URL associated with my domain name:

Fatal error: Class ‘Mfn_Recent_Comments_Widget’ not found in /var/www/html/wp-includes/widgets.php on line 560

    Any suggestions?

BTW: I copied and pasted the HTML code into a document before it all went wrong. So I have it. But I can’t get back in to reinsert it.

Is there any way I can salvage this, or do I need to reinstall something?

    Please let me know.

  • You’ll need FTP access to accomplish the feat. Find the document you changed and replace it with your original back-up document. If you didn’t save the original document to back-up before the change, download and unzip a new WP install file, then replace the file you changed from that bundle.

Of course, you _can_ try to reinstall the code you changed, but, if you err, then you’ll have to do the above, anyway.

    Just how I’d do it.

    L8onio,

Before I went and performed a new WP install I would log into your cPanel of your web host. Then I would disable all plugins. This actually sounds like a plugin issue rather than one that is specific theme related issue. And if I’m reading your error class correctly, are you utilizing BE Theme from the Muffin Group?
