• I have seen several people recently mentioning this but it does not seem to be resolved. I upload the image, the thumbnail is displayed, I click “add image” and everything just simply disappears. The image in fact uploads, it is in my uploads/bpfb folder on the server. But it’s like clicking “upload photo” does the same function as “delete post”. The add link and the add video both work without any problem. My site is only in development and won’t launch for some time because I want to do it right for a small local community, it would be nice if this issue could be resolved. Thank you for your hard work, I respect the developers doing these things for free and still trying to help the WP community. Kudos.

    Hi there,

I think the problem might be as in the other thread I’ve just updated. Buddypress have fixed a bug in the core moderation function which means that unless you’ve upped the default number of links, activity updates containing 2 or more links are not added to the activity stream and no error message is given.

By default, links using a thumbnail, videos, or documents will have at least 2 links. This is why clicking ‘no thumbnail’ makes it work again.

Try upping the number of links allowed in Admin > Settings > Discussion. Please note that this number is >= (i.e. if you want to allow 3 links, set the number to 4 etc.)

    Hey there guys,

Hope you’re both well and sorry for the late reply 🙁

    Thanks for posting @toby.

@vallartadaily is the solution from @toby working for you? Please let us know 🙂

    Best regard,
    Bojan

    I am having a similar problem —

I can upload small images only but not large ones

when i get to an image bigger than 250k or so it gets to the upload point (i can see the preview image etc ) but then nothing after i click the upload button

I have checked the server and the original image is saved in bpfb but there is no image with the suffix bpfbt like there are for images that were successfully uploaded

i solved my issue — it was a memory problem on the server
