We just updated the plugin to 1.0.2, which makes sure the text domain is loaded. We also added some (example) .po/.mo files.
Thanks for bringing it up as it skipped our minds on the earlier versions 🙂

I’ve just tested making and loading a French translation and this seems to work fine with me.
Can you maybe tell me the steps you are taking, and where it goes wrong?

Hi,
as usual
1. create a pot with php makepot 😉
2 poedit: make po from pot
3 translate into French
4 name it receipful-fr_FR.po
5 save it get receipful-fr_FR.mo in the languages folder
6. no translations

Honestly, I am not familiar with the makepot way. I use poedit to create the files, all other steps seem fine to me, so my gut says to me that that might be it (but thats probably the unknowing part ;-).
