Images are uploaded to the library, tagged, then inserted in a post. They seem to appear in the post for a short while but then appear only as a tiny square with a single black pixel in the middle of it. The captions appear in the right place, though.

The blog front page shows the featured images just fine, but the same images are not visible in the post.

I ran an image cleanup plugin not too long ago but things seemed fine after that ran, and the current problem affects new posts as well as old ones.

    Thanks for any ideas!

It seems that some visitors are seeing pictures, but I don’t see any in browsers where I’m both logged in and not logged in to the admin account.

    To add some info:

I use FastStone image resizer, FileMinimizer and File Optimizer before uploading to Media Library. Add tags in library. Insert into post, preview, everything looks fine.

Publish post and I can see where the pictures are supposed to go, but there are no pictures. The captions are there, and in the place of each picture there is a single black pixel that’s clickable and goes to the media page, where I can see the picture.

Just verified that it’s not only via my machine, but also on other visitors’ computers and mobile devices.

Changed themes to 2014 with no improvment.

Thanks for the help. Jetpack’s Photon was resizing my images to 1×1 pixel with this code: data-recalc-dims=<1>

    Disabled Photon, problem solved.
