Problem in Browser for border's Background image

i have a problem with custom css. i put this code:

#main-wrapper {background-color: #f1dca8; margin-top:0px; margin-bottom: 0px;padding: 30px; border-left: 80px; border-right: 80px; border-top: 0px; border-bottom:0px; border-image: url(/wp-content/uploads/bordo_bg2.jpg) 0% 50% 0% 50% repeat;}

In Chrome i don’t have problem, but in firefox and explorer i don’t see the border-image and border in left and right is not 80px. I look the code of the page and i see that borders gone in conflict with original css (i think) and in path of border-image, but i follow the tutorial on site.

Can someone help me?

could you share a link to your site?
Are you sure it depends on some original css rule (I don’t think so, but maybe I’m wrong)..

(you can see specific prefix for different browsers, internet explorer.. which version? http://www.w3schools.com/cssref/css3_pr_border-image.asp [browser support])

I think that the code css is ok in my custom css section, but for some reason there is a conflict with customizr original css in mozilla firefox and ie.

Hi, but when you say “there is a conflict with customizr original css” (which doesn’t have any border rule for #main-wrapper), you say that for which reason? A gut feeling?
Anyway, playing a bit with firebug (firefox) on that page, I’ve found that it works if you use
border-left: 80px solid; border-right: 80px solid;
(so adding solid to those two properties – also with dotted .. so . something )
can you try?

Oh great! Now It’s works. I put “solid” and now all is all right. TY . When i saw the code yesterday in firefox i see two border attribute line, but now i see that i was wrong.

Can you explain to me why without “solid” doesn’t works?

Note: The “border-width” property does not work if it is used alone. Use the “border-style” property to set the borders first.

So basically, chrome does something unusual 😀
