how to get domain that is taken

    Hello everyone.

    I would like to ask if anyone can help me understand a few things.

    1. I would like to register a domain but its taken and also inactive
    2. And i was wondering if there is a way that admin can change that since its a free website and i would like to register and pay for it monthly.

    This is the wordpress free site http://www.alphastudio.wordpress.com/

    And another problem that im not sure if its related, the domain of http://www.alphastudio.com is also taken but closed so I’m not sure how to get the domain and use it as my own and who to contact.

    Any advice and suggestions would help alot

    Go to Whois.com and enter the domain name. It will show you the owner and contact info. You can email them and possible work out a deal to purchase the domain. Once it is registered to someone, they own it as long as the registration is valid. The domain can be transferred to you if they choose to do so.
