For some weird reason Events Manager got corrupt, and no one can tell why it is making our processors spike, along with the memory, resulting in timing out the site.

We deactivated Events Manager, and the site went back to normal. We activated Events Manager again, and our site back started timing out again.

We like to re-install Events Manager. But we don’t want to lose all the events we already have. Can you tell us which file has all the events so we can save it?

We got this far under the File Manager with our hosting company:
    admin
    buddypress
    classes
    includes
    templates
    widgets

    Thanks.

can I know the reason why you’ve wanted to re-install EM? did you get any php errors? also, you can just re-download the latest EM version and then replace the current php files using ftp.

We had Events Manager for a year. It suddenly started slowing down our site, hogging Memory, and spiking the CU usage. It all started on Fri, Jan 30.
We turned off all plugins and started them on, one by one. Events Manager was the last one turned on, and it was the problem causing the site to crawl and time out. We deactivated Events Manager and contacted you. We tried re-activating it this past week, and the site started timing out again.
We contacted our hosting company and they did some test and determined that the minute we turn on Events Manager starts wreaking havoc on the site causing it to time out.
We were advised to delete some events (maybe one of them was being the problem). We deleted all events that were added prior to the week of Jan. 30th, and we re-activated Events Manager again, and the same problems persisted.
We love to have events on our site. We don’t want to go with another plug in. We decided that maybe Events Manager is corrupt and we like to re-install, but we do NOT want to lose all the events that we already have stored in there.
    Do you have another option?

Events aren’t stored in a file, they’re stored in your database. Re-installing the plugin isn’t likely to help this situation.

How many events do you have?

Do you any recurring events that stretch years into the future?

Do you know the amount of memory you have allocated to your site?
