I’ve setup a real cron job to make sure WP-Cron is triggered reliably. I also use cron’s feature where an email is sent when there is any output. Until now, this was used only to report errors though Postie provides output for every check.

It would be great if we could optionally mute non-error output so that these cron emails are still useful is monitoring problems and nothing else.

Please consider unifying your logging routines with various levels of error_log() so that developers can tune this using PHP and WordPress’ existing error logging mechanisms.

    Thanks!
