Protect Content at the Template Level

    Rather than hide an entire post and redirect to a 404, is it possible to protect content at the template level? For example, in my single.php template file, I’d like to show an excerpt and a “subscribe now” link to non-members and then show the full content to members of the “Premium Subscribers” group.

    I know you can do something like this with shortcodes in the post editor, but can I do it in the template itself so that I don’t have to reedit hundreds of pieces of content?

    Hi Josh, yes you can do that using Groups’ API. Please refer to the documentation for details, you will also find examples there.
