post.php file edited in child theme is not overwriting parent theme.

    basically, i just copied post.php file from my theme and pasted it in child theme folder. i did some changes to post.php in child theme but they are not showing on my website. why my child theme file is not parent theme file?

    The theme does not use a post.php, so which theme did you copy it from?

    And, can you be more specific as to what exactly are you trying to achieve with the edits?
