    Hi Kettercat,

It’s possible that the fields need to be re-imported before you can update them. Maybe you changed something on MailChimp side and forgot to re-import the changes?

Try clicking the yellow button at the bottom of the list, ‘Re-Import Form Fields’. You’ll want to wait a few seconds and re-fresh the page. At the moment, the re-import just hangs and the page doesn’t refresh automatically.

After that give it a try. If that doesn’t work, shoot me an email at Evan@Yikesinc.com and I can take a look for you.

    Thanks,
    Evan

    Hi Evan!
First of all, thank you for the super quick reply! 🙂
I just tried that, and it worked for one field but didn’t for the other? Hehe. Now it says ” Error : “EMAIL” does not appear to be a valid merge field for this list”.
    What could it be?

    Thanks again!

    Hi Kettercat,

I don’t believe the email field can be altered at the moment. MailChimp sends that error to prevent users from altering the merge variable. I’m not sure why that error appears for the label as well.

I will have a look and see what I can come up with for a reasonable solution. If all else fails I will just wrap the email label in a filter to allow for easily swapping it out.

I’m glad updating the form worked to allow you to alter the other labels though.

    Thanks,
    Evan

    Hi again Evan!

Nevermind – I just hid the label with CSS and ignored it 🙂
Thanks a lot for your great & quick communication!

    Have a great day

No problem at all. Good thinking, that’s a great work around 🙂
