• I am using WordPress as a little cms but still would like to keep the blog aspect in its own area.

I have set the main mage to be home a written page not a post.

I would like the default blog info to go under a blog page and act as a normal wp blog

I have labeled a written page as blog and it seems to add the comment box at the bottom but doesn’t work as the normal blog.

Any ideas how i can just dump the blog aspect into its own area ready for when its needed, so in the future when you add a post it goes onto that blog aspect?

Hope that makes sense, anyone help me out?

    Many thanks 🙂

  • OK I can’t believe how thick I was being.

There are 2 settings, one for the front page – make this a wordpress page that you have populated with your landing page content.

The second is for a “Posts page: “. Create any old empty page using the wordpress editor. I created a totally empty page called “blog”. Select this – voila – you have a blog URL and a CMS for a web site.

Here is a screengrab – so you don’t have to be as thick as I was.
