I’ve been using the plugin and it’s been a great help in increasing Facebook like.

There is one thing I haven’t been able to figure out is how to have a different popup for my two home pages which are in two different languages and are on two different domain names (with the help of WPML) but run from one WordPress install.

I need some pointers, because no matter how I changed the rules around if I set two popup for the two homepages both pop up for both. πŸ™

Try first enabling the translation of spu_cpt in your wpml settings. Then instead of using two popups, use only one and translate it to the other language.

    That should do the trick

    Hi,
The first thing I tried was to translate the popup with WPML, as that was the most obvious. Since the popup is a post this is very simple. However, this did not work, as both the English and the Hungarian popups showed up for both languages.

And translating the plugin in WPML would not work, as the popups themselves are handled as posts, so the texts within them don’t show up as strings.

    I don’t know how to proceed. πŸ™

Doe do you have ajax mode enabled? I think is not going to work with ajax mode enabled

    Hi Damian,

I can’t find this setting in the plugin.

    (@timersys)

Its on the settings page of the popups plugin. You have latest version installed?

    Thread Starter Doe3

    (@doe3)

    I have 1.1.1 installed.
I had a problem with one of the updates, so I reverted to this version.

well then you probably don’t have wpml support, please update to latest version, we don’t give support for old version

    Thread Starter Doe3

    (@doe3)

Okay. Doing it now. Didn’t know WPML support was something added recently. Will let you know shortly.

It’s really weird. After updating, instead of the popup I created and have been using with the plugin, I get the latest post popup on the screen. It corresponds to the languages properly, but can’t figure out how in the world the post gets in there…

    Also test mode doesn’t work…

    I don’t understand you.

The way the plugin works with WPML is that you need to enable spucpt in the WPML settings to enable popups translations.

Then translate your popup into another language.

As you upgraded from a very old version, I would say to double check all your display rules from original and translated popups to check they are ok and save them to refresh settings

    (@doe3)

I don’t know what spucpt is or where I can find it, but I did translate the popup with WPML and instead of the popup for liking my page in FB, I get the full text of my latest post with images and everything.

Do I have to have the latest version of WPML?

    Plugin Author Damian

    (@timersys)

    We tested with latest version.

    Under WPML -> Translation options
At the very bottom it says “Custom posts”
Just check Popups v1.2.3.3 in there
