• I’m using Quiz Master Next to conduct a survey. Lately I’ve been getting a bunch of spammy results from throwaway email addresses. The ‘time to fill out quiz’ is zero seconds, so I’m pretty sure it’s a bot.

Is there any way to see the IP addresses from which the quizzes were accessed so I can block them in my .htaccess? Failing that, I’d like to request a new feature: a honeypot in the form of an invisible field that only bots will fill out, that will cause a validation error & prevent the quiz from being submitted.

  • Greetings seezee:

Thank you for choosing to use this plugin! I do not currently log the IP of users; however, I will add that to the requested feature list. I did have a honeypot system with the common “email” name. However, one of the popular email plugins is coded poorly and caused fatal errors when using with Quiz Master Next so I have temporarily disabled. It should be re-enabled in the next update. There is also a Captcha question type that you can add to your quiz.
