• I recently setup a website for our Rotary club. Problem is that many phones and tablets here in the Philippines automatically add the m.dot to the site address and will not let you remove it manually.

The page does not show properly with the m.dot in the address. How do I redesign the m.dot site or better yet how do I redirect the m.dot to the main site? (I use a Jetpack to display the site on mobiles and do not want to mess with the m.dot at all)

  • Hey there Tukaram,

    Hope you’re well! 🙂

You mean if you visit the site on table/mobile you will get this instead http://m.rotaryclubofiloilosouth.org If so, you can contact your hosting provider to tell them that you want all your subdomain to redirect to your main domain so you don’t need to worry about it anymore. 🙂

If you are planning to use the other subdomain then I suggest you tell your hosting provider’s support this matter. I am sure they can help you with this. 🙂

Let me know if it helps! 🙂

    Best Regards,
    Calvin

Is there a free plugin that will design a m.dot page? I tried WPTouch – which scaled the pages wonderfully for mobiles, but did not do anything for the m.dot address.

I contacted my host provider and I guess they took the easy way out and disabled the m.dot address… but did not redirect. Now I get a “webpage not available” message. And a majority of internet users in the Philippines are on mobiles. So if I cannot get a redirect I will have to design for it.

creat http://m.rotaryclubofiloilosouth.org/ and put ONE .php file that redirects to http://www.rotaryclubofiloilosouth.org/.

    Voila.
