    I’m posting from one blog to another both are owned by me and both are self hosted using the ‘wp based blog’ module. The problem is that the article is posted to uncategorised and when posting, the first blog does not recognise that his has been posted and reports it as a 404.

    The second part of the problem is not so important but how do I make sure that the article is posted into the correct category?

    You need to have identical categories on both sites. By identical I mean ‘slug’ must be the same.

    yes, they are the same on both installs

    Also posts are going into draft – how can I make sure they are published?

    Please contact support directly. Plugin published posts by default and clones categories if you have the same slugs on both sites.

    If it inserts “draft” something is messed up in your WP settings.
