Everything in the desktop version for my website looks totally fine. However, when trying to view it on both Android and iphone smart phones, the background is not there. It just shows up as white. This won’t work, because my text is white, so you can’t read anything.

I’ve tried using just background color only, or just background image only..I’ve tried downloading background widgets to try to override this bug, and tried messing with the style.css (I’ve since reverted it back to normal) but to no avail.

    Please help! 🙂

    My website is: http://www.nicolegose.com

Again, everything is 100% fine in the desktop version, but mobile is missing the background.

    Thank you!!

Note: I am currently changing my text to a dark gray (instead of white) for now, so that people will be able to view my mobile site and read the text. Background color on mobile still not working. (Just wanted to write this note so there wouldn’t be any confusion as to why the text isn’t white anymore)

    Thanks!

Update: Now the background isn’t working on the computer OR the mobile. It’s showing up white. I keep changing it to be a solid color and saving/publishing it, but when I open a new tab to load my website, the background appears white, and when I try to add a new background image, it gets really buggy and doesn’t allow me to add a picture to be used as a background 🙁

    Please help!

Hey – Another update. The background color is now showing up in both the mobile AND the desktop. Yay!

BUT I am unable to choose a background image in the main Customizer.

When I go to “Appearance>Background” I have the option to choose an image to be used as a background image, but when I try selecting it, in the Preview, it shows up as being a tiny square that is tiled. When I had used it originally, the image took up the entire screen (without being tiled).

    Hi Nicole,

Apologies for the delay in getting to this. Are you still having issues with your background colours? If you are, I would suggest deactivating any plugins that you currently have and see if that helps. If it does, it may be that one of your plugins is overriding the background colour. Try activating them one at a time to see which one is causing the issue.

i am also facing the same issue with the background color , can any one please help me.
