Support » Plugin: Maps Builder - Google Maps Plugin » v1.0.3 Problem with New check for multiple Google Maps API calls

  • I’m having an issue with the new version of this plugin, and will downgrade to the previous working version for now. However, the new update with the very first item called out: New check for multiple Google Maps API calls… is my issue. I currently use the plugin EventOn for a clients Calendar management, and that plugin allows the disabling of the JavaScript include file for the Google Maps API, so that it avoids collision (which works 100% fine). However, the new v1.0.3 Google Maps Builder plugin update now throws the error that it found another call to the Google Maps API through the ‘enqueue’ script call and prevents the google maps from working. Here’s my suggestion for the fix. Instead of searching ‘enqueue’ calls, write a small JavaScript function to search for the JavaScript Google Maps API object, and if it exists, then prevent the ‘enqueue’ of the script file. Until then, my immediate fix will be rolling back to v1.0.2, so I have a working site for launch. Should be a quickie fix and hopefully it rolls out soon.

Thanks for the amazing free plugin, love it!
