    Hi Guys,

I’m using AngelEye Paypal for WooCommerce plugin. It’s awesome!

I just received the following notification from Paypal and I have a couple of questions:

    Hello Greg,

Please check your server that handles PayPal Instant Payment Notifications (IPN). IPNs sent to the following URL(s) are failing:

    http://nutsacbags.com/ipn_main_handler.php

If you do not recognize this URL, you may be using a service provider that is using IPN on your behalf. Please contact your service provider with the above information. If this problem continues, IPNs may be disabled for your account.

Thank you for your prompt attention to this issue.

    1. Do I need IPN if I’m using Paypal for WooCommerce? If so, should I use the “Paypal IPN for WordPress” plugin? Otherwise should I just disable IPN via PayPal?

    2. I don’t have a page called ipn_main_handler.php. But Paypal is trying to send IPN notifications to this page. I think this page is from a prior zencart installation. If I install Paypal IPN for WordPress will I have a new handler that I will then use to configure Paypal IPN on the Paypal site?

Thanks very much for your help!

Our plugin does not (yet) have anything happening with IPN, so you must have it enabled in your PayPal profile with that setting enabled if it’s sending IPNs to that URL.

    1. Whether or not you need IPN is really up to you. There are lots of nice things you can do with it, mainly automating tasks that happen when transactions hit your PayPal account.

We just launched PayPal IPN for WordPress not long ago, and we have lots of plans for extending it with various premium extensions, but it can be used as a catch-all for IPNs on your PayPal account, so if you are going to use IPN in general, then yes, I’d recommend using it. It’s a great starting point for IPN in WordPress.

    2. Yes, if you install PayPal IPN for WordPress it will provide a new URL for you to configure in your PayPal account profile. You would just replace the URL that’s there now with the new URL that our IPN plugin gives you.

I’m going to go ahead and mark this as resolved, but let me know if you have any other questions or concerns. Thanks!
