• I am receiving this message after upgrading to 2.7, “Fatal error: Call to undefined function: wp_remote_request() in /nfs/c03/h02/mnt/52157/domains/example.com/html/wp-includes/update.php on line 58.”

    Any help would be great.

    Thanks!

  • i got one like this:

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare uninstall_plugin() (previously declared in /home/simpledo/public_html/blog/wp-admin/includes/plugin.php:509) in /home/simpledo/public_html/blog/wp-content/plugins/pluginstaller/uninstall.php on line 89

@kyledylanconner: Is this the error you see when visiting the blog url?

@simpledog: try removing your plugins via ftp, see if your WP works, then upload them again.

I have the same thing at http://www.andychin.com/blog/

    pissed..

Most errors like this are due to incomplete FTP transfers. Try transferring all files again via a decent ftp program like filezilla, coda, cuteftp, etc…

i got this using the automatic upgrade from 2.7 rc2 to official 2.7

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare pclziputilpathreduction() (previously declared in /clusterblog/wp-content/plugins/wordpress-automatic-upgrade/lib/pclzip.lib.php:5421) in /clusterblog/wp-admin/includes/class-pclzip.php on line 5498

thx for help if u can.

I have tried using the automatic upgrade several times, and like others get this message:

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare pclziputilpathreduction() (previously declared in /home2/marketu1/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wordpress-automatic-upgrade/lib/pclzip.lib.php:5421) in /home2/marketu1/public_html/wp-admin/includes/class-pclzip.php on line 5498

How do I get around this?

Looks like a plugin error. It might pay to try upgrading manually instead of using the automatic upgrade method…

I think 2.7 rc2 had an auto update plugin? Try disabling that first.

    I’m getting this
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_ENDIF in /home/wwwdiff/diffusion.org.uk/wp-includes/functions.php on line 2375

all plugins were deactivated before install which was done using Transmit. Have tried stepping back to 2.6 but the error persists.

    Any suggestions?

I am very sure of complete file transfer, and has done that many times.
I still get this exact error:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function wp_remote_post() in /home/andychin/domains/andychin.com/public_html/blog/wp-includes/cron.php on line 201
    then,

Fatal error: Call to undefined function wp_remote_post() in /home/andychin/domains/andychin.com/public_html/blog/wp-includes/update.php on line 201

    all plugins have been disabled.

call to undefined function is nearly always that all files didn’t make it – specifically in your case some from the /wp-includes folder
    try uploading that folder again

    so am I.

I think maybe plugins or themes problem.

The result maybe different, if we deactivate all plugins and use default theme, then upgrade.

But I decide to use V2.6.5 after upgrade failure.

    1. Make certain that you uploaded all the files to your website.

    2. Don’t use an automatic upgrade plugin. Do it manually. If you have the old automatic upgrade plugin, deactivate and remove it, it is no longer compatible with WordPress 2.7, which has its own automatic upgrade functionality.

i have downloaded again and again, and transferred again and again.

Fatal error: Call to undefined function wp_user_settings() in /ww……er.php on line 14

After “Don’t use an automatic upgrade plugin”, a little change.

There are some other plugins incompatible, I lost my interesting.

    I’m having the same issues.

Call to undefined function: wp_remote_post() in …wp-includes/cron.php on line 201

I’ve removed all plugin files and I have re-uploaded all wp-includes files – still no luck.
