you dont understand what moving to wordpress.org means.
you dont “move here”.
you cant get free domains. you dont have a domain. you dont want to pay for hosting.
You have exactly what you want right now. And you want to move away from it, and toward something you have absolutely no understanding of?
why? Please, stay with your happy uncomplicated blog at wordpress.com
of course, given your age, you might do okay. its usually the older folks that have the most trouble with wordpress
The free wordpress hosting is the same on WordPress.com and WordPress.org I believe. They just both offer a wordpress blog.
And no, you cannot get a free domain name unless you win a contest or something of the like. Domain names are only a few dollars a year though, and you can just update your nameservers for the domain with your free blog hosting account at WordPress.
There are plenty of free webhost providers out there and short free TLD providers. I am not meaning to advertise, but my current blog is host on a free webhost which requires me to keep up the posting to provide the generous space and I currently have wordpress hosted on there which allowed much more freedom to customize exactly the way I wanted.
Of course, you get what you pay for in the end. But the service I’ve joined up with are aiming to change the way other paid services out there provide their service.
there are free hosts and free subdomains – no free domains
