Lead visitors to 2 different sites from 1 homepage

Hello. I am working on a site for a business that has a dance school side and a non-profit side. I would like the homepage to have 2 options, one leading to the school and the other the non-profit. Each side will act as it’s own site. So, there are actually 3 sites: homepage (entry), school, and non-profit.

I set up multisite on the main account and added the 2 additional sites via subdirectory. The install seems to have worked as they show up in the site list. But, when I try and go to the individual dashboards, it reverts back to the main site. And when I try and visit the site, I get an index error.

Any help or thoughts? Thanks in advance!
