• Greetings,

I recently came up with an issue after i tried to install NextScripts: Social Networks Auto-Poster. During that install I kept coming up with certificate verification failed when trying to set-up Facebook. So I decided to just delete the plugin and call it a day. However now my wordpress news feed is showing up with WP HTTP Error: SSL: certificate verification failed. i verified that the NextScripts: Social Networks Auto-Poster has been deleted off the main server and i also disabled all my plug-ins and still it keeps showing that message.

Out of curiosity I checked my other WordPress sites I have loaded on my server and on all of them the WordPress News feed works just fine. I went a step deeper and changed out my sql server database and now my WordPress News Feed works….

I’m assuming that NextScripts must have saved something to the database that didn’t get changed or removed…

not sure if anyone else has experienced this…

Can you share the URL that NextScripts is complaining about? Your SSL cert may not be setup correctly and that would toss errors if that was the case.

What I did find is that NextScripts did save some info into the sql server database under wp_options, I had to manually delete each next script entry until I reached an entry that actually said “WP HTTP Error: SSL: certificate verification failed” once I deleted that, my WordPress News feed started working.
