Sounds like the file got corrupted sometime downloading or uploading the plugin. I suggest downloading a fresh copy of the plugin.

Hope that helps. Let me know.

This is not a plugin conflict…

First, lets start with a clean slate.

Login to your site using FTP.

    Delete this folder:
    ../wp-content/plugins/connections/

Now Connections is completely removed from your site.

Follow these instructions to reinstall Connections:

Navigate to the Add New sub-page under the Plugins admin page.
    Search for “connections business directory”.
The plugin should be listed first in the search results.
    Click the Install Now link.
Lastly click the Activate Plugin link to activate the plugin.

    Did that work?

hi, no it doest work.. it gives a new error:
Warning: call_user_func_array() expects parameter 1 to be a valid callback, no array or string given in /home/milot/domains/mehoshav.co.il/public_html/wp-includes/plugin.php on line 496
    and also:
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘הגדרות’ (T_STRING), expecting ‘,’ or ‘;’ in /home/milot/domains/mehoshav.co.il/public_html/wp-content/plugins/connections/includes/admin/class.message.php(276) : runtime-created function on line 1

That helps quite a bit! What language are you using? I’m guessing I may have to escape (make safe) that string in a different way to better account for that language.

    hi
    Hebrew

Ok, I’ll switch and see if I can duplicate the error … What you can try is to temporarily switch the WordPress admin to English to see if that works.

    Thread Starter mehoshav

    (@mehoshav)

    u mean the whole admin?

    Plugin Author Steven

    (@shazahm1hotmailcom)

    @ mehoshav

Yes. If you’re using the latest WordPress you should be able to change it on the Settings : General admin page (unless you configured the language in the wp-config.php file).

    (@mehoshav)

i tried doing that but it makes the site itself switch sides and all

    (@mehoshav)

but it looks like its working 🙂
    what should i do now?

i mean, i cant leave in in english…

    (@shazahm1hotmailcom)

    @ mehoshav

While in English… was there any WordPress notices or error messages shown at the top of the page? If so, which one. After I have that, I should be able to track down which string I need to fix.

    Thread Starter mehoshav

    (@mehoshav)

    no, there wasnt any!

    @ mehoshav

Ok, thanks. I’m going to switch my test install to Hebrew and see if I can track it down. Thanks for helping, you can switch the language back now. I’ll try to get a bug fix release out asap.
