• I hope I can explain this clearly.

I am going through older posts on a very old blog. I want to sort them into categories which is all going fine but… I don’t see a way (an easy way) to remove Uncategorized which sticks as a second/ double category after I change the post to the correct/ new category.

I can remove Uncategorized when I use quick edit for each post, individually. But, when I work with it in batches there is no checkmark to uncheck for the Uncategorized category. So I am ending up with posts in two categories instead of just one.

I can rename Uncategorized when I am finished. But, for now I have 4000+ posts which show up each time I run the filter to edit posts in Uncategorized and even though I’m getting through them it would be a lot easier if the ones I fix/ move would not still show up as Uncategorized as well.

Hope that makes sense. I don’t need to delete/ rename Uncategorized – I’ve seen a lot of posts about that. But, I can do that if I wanted to. I just want to prevent Uncategorized from sticking on posts once I move them to another category (in batch edits).
