    Can someone test it please before I open a ticket?

    It’s working with me, embedded into a post, and it was by default shrunk to a smaller size…

    Thanks for your feedback. I assume you tested with WordPress 4.1?

    Works for me too – yes, 4.1 (wouldn’t be running anything else :))!

    Ok I found out that the problem exists since 19.01. and affects all PNG files. I think my webhoster changed something but I don’t know what exactly. “php_gd2.dll” is enabled.

    Do you have any ideas?

    Did you ask your host? .png files are supported by WP –

    Yes I did but unfortunately they say that they didn’t change anything 😉

    Is there a possibility to discover the exact cause of the problem? The debug modus shows no errors.

    Again my hoster assured me that they didn’t change anything. Any other ideas how I can proceed?

    After a PHP update from my provider it’s working again! It was a bug in the libPNG version.
