    Since upgrading to 2.6.2 via fantastico – yes, I know it’s outdated but that’s the update offered I now have 3 blogs down with this error:

    Fatal error: Call to undefined function wp() in /home/anon/public_html/timeflies/wp-blog-header.php on line 14

    I have searched for solutions but they didn’t work. can anyone help please? If I can get them working again I will probably transfer to wordpress.com as a backup and then manually upgrade to the latest safe version.

    Anyone. Plee …ease

    Usually fantastico screws things up. Probably the best way to do it would be to just do a manual upgrade to the latest version following these directions, and take fantastico out of the equation.

    I ought to mention that the version that fantastico upgraded was 1.5.1.2, yes, I know it’s old but never had problems until hacked recently. I had doubts that it could be upgraded on this thread:

    So, I went ahead but first downloaded all the files as backup and backed up the db from phpmyadmin. I deactivated all the plugins but forgot to set the theme to default. As it was probably using an incompatible theme the problem might be there.

    You might also want to try deleting all the blog files except for the
    wp-config.php file;
    wp-content/plugins/ and /uploads folder delete the /themes folder to get rid of incompatible themes;
    wp-images folder;
    .htaccess file
    robots.txt file
    Then try uploading the files again. Make sure that you upload the wp-content/themes folder.
