Root directory Fail [fail] is Writeable by php

    Hello,

    I’ve looked and read through all the resolved posts on this particular error but I’m still unable to get it to work for me.
    1) I’ve lowered Windows 7 security to it’s lowest level
    2) I’ve changed folder permissions for both installer and .zip file to 777

    Root DirectoryFail
    Path:
    [Fail] Is Writable by PHP
    [Pass] Contains only one zip file
    Result = 20150123_sitename_2_54c439c33dfe16627150125003307_archive.zip
    Note: Manual extraction still requires the archive.zip file

    What am I missing? What do I specifically need to tell my Host in order to “grant” the .php file to write the “Root Directory”?

    My host is iPage and I see that someone else had the same problem with them but never saw a solution provided?

    Please help!

    Hey Parmandx

    If your on Windows 7 you really can’t set things to 777, however you should be able to remove all read-only permissions and setup the folder with access to “Everyone” will full perms. Are you using XAMPP, WAMP or something simular?
