Unable to toggle any panels on or off in Edit Page or Edit Post

    When editing any page or post, I can’t toggle any of the panels (e.g., Publish, Page Attributes, Featured Image, etc.) off or on. This is a major problem for one of my users, who is an Editor, but cannot update any pages, since his Publish panel had been toggled off before this issue began. It had to have happened some time between October 31, 2014 and today.

    I saw that someone else asked about this problem before, but since the issue apparently resolved itself for him/her, there was no solution presented.

    I have tried different browsers and disabling AdBlock, but the problem persists. Help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

    Try deactivating your plugins (all of them if necessary). If that doesn’t work, leave them off and switch to a default theme. Does that make any difference?

    Thanks for the tip! I deactivated all plugins and reactivated them again one by one. The culprit was a plugin called “Use Google Libraries” (which makes sense because the toggles use js/jquery to work — the correct library must have been being overridden). Whew!
