Add text and links to slider?

    I love your Mixed theme!
    I got the slider to work, but I want to add text and links to it.
    Can you help me?

    Edit: I have the banner thing solved, I have one more problem though:
    When setting a static front page I need to use “Post Page” and select “Home”in that drop down menu to show the slider on my homepage, but it also shows all the recently posted articles, unsorted.
    Is there a way to remove this or at least filter and sort the posts?
