• Hi There,

This is more to inform you and anyone else with this problem that I had the same problem and I found the solution. While researching I saw this person had a similar problem but no resolution was posted: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/filter-bar-month-view-searching-for-search/

Description of problem: When someone wanted to jump to another month using the Date picker, it would go to that month and say “There were no results found for “Search”.” and no events would show.

Cause: Javascript that takes the “placeholder text” and inserts it into the value. Then when someone clicks on the field, the value goes away so the user can type in their information.

Reason: To make the placeholder text visible to older browsers, like IE9, since they do not support placeholder.

In our case, we had found a script that was supposed to only apply to GravityForms inputs, but was also looking at the fields in the Events Calendar. Once we fixed that to only target GF fields, the search worked like it was supposed to.

    Hope this helps someone!

Thank you Emma I appreciate that. I have seen that problem before as well. Definitely one time with Gravity Forms, and sometimes it was a theme’s script conflicting. I will let Josh know about your solution.

    Cheers!
