Hi! I installed the Yoast SEO plugin primarily for the promised ease of using Rich Pins on Pinterest. As far as I can tell, I have followed every tutorial to a T, and still, when I try to validate a post URL, Pinterest gives me the error: “We were unable to retrieve any data from your URL.” The only possible red flag I have noticed is that I do not see the meta tags this plugin is supposed to add to the <head> section. Perhaps I’m not looking in the right place, or something is breaking this plugin on my site? Has anyone had this issue? Please help!

    I had the same issue.

I reloaded the validation page a 2nd time, and the validator said my page was missing information.

I was missing the meta description in Yoast.

Does your webpage contain a meta description?

Hi, yes I got it to work – but I have no real idea how. Yes, my page and the posts contained meta descriptions. Eventually, on the advice of a friend, I just kept using the URL from different posts until one finally went through. I have absolutely no idea why several didn’t work and then one finally did. I tried to compare the one that worked to the ones that hadn’t and I didn’t see any difference.

So, my only advice is: keep trying different posts until one of them works!
