After the update to the current version the customized new user email is not send anymore. Instead the orginal wordpress mail is send iwth only username, password and link to login.
The setting in General Options > Email Configuration >New User Email Configuration is Yes(customize New User Emails with s2Member).
How can this be fixed ?
    Thanks

  • Try to save s2m options at this page again.

When the email text was changed last time? Try to save again – can be something hidden…

Changed email, deleted all special fields like %%field%%.
    No change; problem persists…

So may be a plugin or theme conflict…

Deactivated all plug-ins but S2M, and activated them one by one again. No updates or other changes made. And it solved the problem!
    thanks

    Hello Nic,

I have exactly the same problem, but I use a lot of plugins.

Can you tell me, which plugins you use? Perhaps there are only some plugins which are similar in both sites, so don’t have to deactivate and active them all.

    Thanks in advance!

In my case, the “Google analytics for wordpress” plugin was causing the issue.
Deactivating did not resolve it. I had to completely delete it from the server.
    Hope this helps somebody.

Has there been a fix for this? I deactivated Google Analytics and that didn’t help me.

I am having the exact same issue. This seemed to change with update of WordPress 4.3 My New user email message was telling to wait for approval and now it prompts to set a password. This password does not work until approved so they basically have to go change it again once approved.

Please let me know if someone has a solution as this is a real problem!

    Thx -B

    @bd.home,

Yours is not the same issue because it is indeed caused by the update to WP 4.3. As a result, it is now impossible to auto-send passwords by email.
Please see this explanation for what options you now have in s2Member.
