Unable to access most of Dashboard

    I was doing some maintenance to my site when I was trying to cancel an automated backup as I was going to back up the file later tonight with new posts, but it seems that was a major mistake and now I can’t view the rest of the options in the WordPress Dashboard. I can still view my site kawaiivinyl.com and log into the Dashboard but if I try to go to other sections I’m redirected to my theme with no blog posts.

    Quick Background-I was using the BackupWorkpress plugin but since this happened I deleted the plugin through FTP. I checked my cPanel for any error logs and I can across the below:

    Can anyone troubleshoot what the issue it? I’ve been stumped for a few hours. I also can’t add new posts.

    client denied by server configuration

    – seems to be a server configuration issue.
    – have you discussed this with your hosting provider?

    Before you do anything further. I think it’s wise to load your old backup instead.

    Just a thought: Have you checked your .htaccess file? Maybe some restrictions were put there during the update that now got stuck there. Replace it with a version from your backup.

    Thank you everyone! I tried to go into a few .htaccess files but wasn’t sure which one would have infected WordPress. I took you advice Tara and my host was able to clean it up but says that I’m “wordpress injection style attacks” so I’m kind of nervous about that. Is there a way to protect my site from those?
