I have a few feature requests for this already excellent plugin, if you’re interested.

    COMMENTS

    • Remove “You may use these HTML tags and attributes” section.
    • Move name, email, and domain fields to after the comment box.
    • Hide domain field
    • Change cursor to link-indicator on Submit button hover. Example of the problem.

    OTHER

    • Enlarge Testimonials image size to 200px (double the default). Example (I can provide CSS for this if you want)
    • Stop Divi from hard-cropping the resized blog featured images. Example
    • There’s others I can’t think of atm. I’ll post here as I think of them.

    Hi Tevya,

thank you for your feedback and suggestions! I will definitely improve this plugin with new features.

I have to be sure, that modifications through this plugin is good for everyone and it does not make any changes, which is site specific.

The HTML tags after the comment area is already removed.

I have added a css to make the cursor to pointer on the comment submit button, however it should be implemented by Elegant Themes. It will be active in the next release.

Other requests seem very specific to me or can not be modified by this plugin.

Keep in mind, that site specific modifications can be implemented by a childtheme, which is the recommended way to customize every WordPress themes.

Keep on posting me new ideas, which is good for every Divi website! Thank you!

For some reason the HTML tags weren’t being hidden for me initially. Must’ve been browser cached or something. Looks like it’s working now.

Sure, I understand. I just thought I’d throw some ideas out there, that I’d really like to see.

Rearranging the comments fields, for example, helps increase comment conversions. People start typing their comment, then don’t want to waste the though, so they put in the required info to finish. But if they have to put in that info first, they stop to think about the process it’s going to take to get there, instead of just starting to write their comment.

It doesn’t reduce the friction to comment at all, but it reduces the the perceived friction. Plus it puts them into a “sunk costs” mindset, where it’s worth it to continue, so as not to waste the effort they’ve already committed by writing their comment.

…and of course, you could have a simple options page where people could select which they want to load. For example the 200px testimonials, is a nice one that I think most people would like (much easier/nicer looking at that size). In case a few want to use your plugin, but not that feature, they could uncheck a box.

Thank you Tevya for your detailed description! I’ll keep your ideas on the list, but I can not promise anything.
