The grey entries are placeholders, these display what the plugin is dynamically generating for you. The plugin has always done this, we just didn’t display it in those fields as placeholder text but as this was something that many users asked for we added placeholder text.
Perhaps I was not precise enough, the problem is that there is no metadata attached to each page/post ! Namely, in the post/page view SEO title/description/keywords are all empty. Google webmaster shows metadata errors for all pages/post, which is far from good.
Can you provide a screenshot and a URL please.
The plugin is working correctly. I checked one of your posts and the plugin is generating the Title tag and meta description correctly. I see no problems.

This is alerting you to the fact that your theme does not include that HTML markup. It’s fine that the theme does not include that markup, many themes do not. However, this is a theme issue and something that can only be fixed in your theme.
