Last update slowed down the connection to my server

    It has also happened to me, which caused a delay in the servers of many seconds and I had to disable the plugin 🙁

    Same slowdown for me since updating as well. Disabling share counts helps, but I’m going to have look for another plugin. Shame.

    Yeah, seems the support has disappeared from this plugin. It’s obviuos that they havo no intention to take this seriously. A pitty.

    Hi all,

    Nothing changed in any recent updates that would have had any change on load time.

    Can anyone experiencing this please confirm if disabling share counts does indeed return the plugin load time to a more agreeable state?

    If share counts are the issue, it will be because they are retrieved for each page load. Simple Share Buttons Plus caches share counts for however long you decide (10 minutes by default), along with offering lazy loading, eradicating slow load times – https://simplesharebuttons.com/plus/
