  • Appears to be the case..

Author has updated the plugin less than 48 hours ago…

Yes, author has updated…and then abandoned. No support whatsoever.

I don’t think the author has “abandoned” this plugin. He does do more than just write this plugin, in fact most authors do have other projects and jobs. This is a super great “FREE” plugin. It has its bugs but if you look at the forum you’ll see that it would be nearly impossible to respond to every issue. However: I would like to see a lowest common denominator tutorial, A-Z style for those of us whom are basic to intermediate level coders/users.

Yeah.. I think we all get that plugin authors do more than write plugins.. and we get that they have other jobs.. and we all get that it’s FREE..

    but

Given the issues folks are STILL having, NO REPSONSES WHATSOEVER in this support forum does speak volumes.. and if you disagree with that.. then we’ll have to agree to disagree..

I only have this plugin running on one of my client sites.. They are not using feed to post.. the rest I have moved over to WP RSS-Aggregator (https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-rss-aggregator/) and paid for the premium add-ons because the cost to expand the functionality beyond the free plugin wasn’t really all that much (the Simple Feeds Bundle is only $44).. Even though the mod they selected is pretty inexpensive, frankly those clients were willing to pay more as the makers of RSS-Aggregator are pretty responsive..

I’m not far behind you DivaVocals on switching up. It appears to have been only days since an update, but 6 months since any reply to any post from the author. I simply cannot use 3.0 or better without some assistance or a far better tutorial. The current version I’m using Version 2.67.67, works fine and brings in images with short codes but it plays hell with my server. When I upgraded, the server load did decrease but a lot of the feeds were missing the images. If WP RSS-Aggregator can provide me with a server friendly feed then I’ll gladly pay for play.

    Worth every penny..
