I received several errors after updating NavXT and NavXT 5.0 Migration Compatibility Layer today such as “failed to open stream: No such file or directory”.

Am I correct NavXT 5.0 Migration Compatibility Layer was uninstalled and removed with this update? And that these errors are harmless? I can no longer see the Migration Compatibility plugin.

Yes, the Breadcrumb NavXT 5.0 Migration Compatibility Layer was not distributed with Breadcrumb NavXT 5.2. It was not meant to remain active after updating from Breadcrumb NavXT 4.x to Breadcrumb NavXT 5.0 or 5.1. It’s sole purpose was to work around a bug in WordPress where updates don’t work properly when the file that contains the plugin header changes name. So yes, those errors were harmless/can be ignored.

    Hi John,

    thanks for your help.
