    Hi there-

I’m trying to add a redirect in a child site of a multisite network install. What I’m looking to do:

    Redirect from
    http://subdomain.domain.com/foo
    to
    http://subdomain.domain.com/bar

When I try to add this redirect, it truncates the domain off the ‘from’ url and I end up with:

    Redirect from
    /foo
    to
    http://subdomain.domain.com/bar

This obviously doesn’t work as /foo is not a url on my main site. Is this possible?

I don’t understand your example as it sounds like it’s working – redirecting from /foo to /bar?

Any redirections have to be from the site where Redirection is installed – it’s not possible to redirect outside of your domain, as you have no control over that. If you want to redirect from another URL you will need Redirection installed on that site.

It’s not working- it’s completely ignoring the subdomain. It’s not a separate site, it’s a child site in a multisite installation.

If Redirection is running on a subdomain then it can only perform redirections from that subdomain. If you want to redirect from another domain then you’ll need Redirection running there.

I see, thanks for the response!
