Enlarging header covers content when using Back to Top, etc.

    Using WP 4.1, Customizr v3.2.10… I have a fairly large logo image file, 1024x211px. When I scroll down the page the header shrinks nicely. When I scroll back up the page – with scroll bar, mousewheel, or Back To Top link, most of the time the header comes back to full size and obscures some page content (breadcrumbs, page title, etc.). The page content is not moved down far enough to be under the header. I can correct by reloading the page. Tried enabling/disabling smooth scroll – no change. (Actually, smooth scrolling is always on – despite the setting, can’t shut it off.) Very annoying.
