worked like a charm on wordpress 4.1

I created a wordpress account just to review this plugin. I searched for a lot of backup/restore plugins, and all seemed to have their share of negative reviews along with positives. I just decided to give duplicator a try…

The scenario, before changing my live site, I created a ‘dev.*’ site to create my wordpress site – enough to get going – before wanting to move or migrate it all to the main site.

Firstly, I highly recommend watching the provided video on the main plugin page on wordpress, as it shows how simple it is to use. After running the installer, the site looks to work fine. It changed url’s of the old dev.* site to the new one.
I ran the cleanup as well, it didn’t seem to delete the archive zip file (the backup you copied to install from), so I just removed it manually afterwords, but that’s no issue.

Highly recommend from what I’ve seen. And I will continue to use Duplicator for some manual backups every so often, in addition to possibly another Backup plugin or two (never hurts to have more).

Now, to continue learning wordpress…
