Calendar events not showing up

I’ve got the calendar page saved as draft right now, but could change that. We’re currently using The Events Calendar but want to get off of it.

Yes, — I have published an event that recurs every Monday until 12/26/16. Except that it doesn’t show up in the calendar.

The status is ‘Scheduled’, visibility is Public. If I “Preview” this event, it show up fine.

I did publish this recurring event. But it shows up as scheduled and if I click on the Status drop-down, scheduled is the only option except for draft and pending review.

Aha. Just did a test. I think when I created that event, it was initially something other than Published and then I selected Publish later.

In my new test event, I published it right away and it does show up.

Does it make sense that the Published option disappears when the status is Scheduled?

Thanks much for your help! Now I just need to get the CSV import working — when I try to import, it tells me “Cannot read file content. Please check that the uploaded file is CSV encoded”. Are there characters or formatting that the import doesn’t like? Our dates are in m-d-Y instead of Y-m-d, would that cause it to choke? There is some html (in quotes) but I tried running this without the html, and it didn’t make any difference. Here are the first 8 lines below. Thanks again! Vicki
