I’ve searched this forum and didn’t find answer. Sorry if I missed it and this is a repeat:

(I did see the helpful post about using HTML to link the caption, but here I’m asking about the thumbnail itself).

I’d like each of my thumbnails to link to other pages/posts on my site (1 page per image) because I am using the thumbnail gallery as a landing page for other posts. I dont want/need the thumbnail to display a larger image/lightbox at all. This “gallery” is purely for navigation purposes.

Can someone explain how this can be done with Easy Image Gallery please?

If anyone knows a better way to do this, please chime in. I’ve tried the native WP gallery with the WP Gallery Custom Links plugin, which would work great for this, except I can’t figure out how to display the caption or title below the image (as I can with Easy Image). I need the caption to appear because on mobile devices hover doesn’t work.

    thx

  • Hi,

Are you a developer? It’s possible to rebuild the output of the gallery in any which way you want, have a look at the easy_image_gallery() function within the template-functions.php file.

If you don’t understand any of the code you see I would suggest hiring a developer. Since custom development is needed and it’s outside of the scope of the plugin, it’s not something I can support, or show you how to do.

    Good luck!
