Login to your admin interface, go to Options/Miscellaneous, check “Allow File Uploads”, save the settings, click the new “Upload” button in your menu bar.

How do you view the files you’ve already uploaded? Is there a way to view them without ftp’ing into the site and looking there?

Upon uploading, WP gives you some HTML code to enter into a post in order to display the image. As for viewing all of the files that you’ve uploaded, you’ll need FTP for that.

You may also want to enter the extensions like doc, etc in the allowed file extensions field.

Hi, I have uploaded the file (gif and jpg) and got the HTML code, pasted it into the post and got only a picture of the ALT tag text, but no picture. Here is sample of the code I got from WordPress to paste into the document, when uploading the file: <img src=’/wp-content/intraekstra_01.gif’ alt=’ALT text’ />

    Any ideas?

Go to Options > Misc and change the second URL there. That should sort it out.

Thanks podz. I should be more careful next time.
