upload to media library started failing

    Today, after a couple of years of problem free use, one my sites is returning the following error when I try to upload any kind of media to the library or to a post/page:

    “The requested URL was rejected. Please consult with your administrator.”

    I’ve tried switching off all the plugins, and switching to 2014 but no dice.

    Why would this suddenly fail, could I have been hacked?

    I’d recommend contacting your hosting provider about this, “Please consult with your administrator” sounds like maybe some server-based security is a bit too strict.

    Thanks James, it has mysteriously fixed itself with no intervention from anyone. Bit worrying, but at least it’s working.
