Please update to the latest version of Google Analytics by Yoast (5.2.7). It will solve this problem for you.
I keep having the same problem in configuring new Google Analytics. I even tried to install the 5.2.7 beta test but it failed to install (have screen shot).
It keeps wanting me to configure Google Analytics after I’ve gone through all the steps to configure. It’s the same issue that was resolved for others on another ticket (see my posted issue).
I’ve gone through the same process to re-authenticate several times adding the code and it’s still asking me to configure Google Analytics.
I’ve even gone through the other tabs to be sure I’ve enabled Universal and Demographics. I’ve even tried troubleshooting in the debug mode tab and did notice some problems when I checked the console on my browser (Chrome).
I have a screen shot I can provide if that would help. I also noticed after doing that when I go into my site it keeps blinking showing the URL of the page I’m on below.

Seems this topic is resolved for the people in this thread.
It was working as I mentioned above but I’m now getting messages that I need to re-authenticate more frequently. Hope they get this fixed permanently.

I am having the same problem as you Pat. I reauthenticate, the warnings go away and all is fine. Then a day later it asks me to reauthenticate again.
I know what you mean, lifedreaming, but I don’t know if they’re still getting the word on these reoccurring issues, as this thread is shown as resolved. I can only hope they’re working on it or else open a new thread.
