• Using BackWPup 3.1.4. Worked fine on testing server. Worked fine on live server. The web host is migrating this to a new server, and now the job times out in 10 seconds. No log is created.

I deactivated, deleted, reinstalled, activated & set up a job. Running the new job results in the same error.

Any ideas on what’s causing this?

First cech every caching “Cloudflare, revers Proxys, …” and add wp-cron.php to ignore list.
Secound check that your Hoster allows Loopback connection.
Therd check that your server can connect to himself over the domain name.

I will say ther are many Server related thinks that must be configured correctly so that the WordPRess cron system can work.
